Speedometer Re-Set Button Cover
Years of use and sun exposure lead to the deterioration of the speedometer reset button boot. A missing or torn boot allows moisture to enter the speedometer and this often results in expensive repair or replacement. This item was never offered as a replacement part by BMW and realizing the need for this small but important part, Siebenrock developed and created this replacement.
If your reset button boot has seen better days, replacing it with this part before a problem occurs is well worth serious consideration.

does exactly what is described. I pushed in the small flange on the bottom, (with it out, this may fit different bikes than mine) didn't fit tight, so I used a dab of silicone sealer, and it fits and stays on. it's the best replacement for this button, and looks original. my bike: 1992 R100 r

The cover on my tripmeter reset button finally flew off on a ride recently & I was happy to see boxer2valve offered this replacement. I don't need to be anxious about moisture getting into the internal workings of my speedometer anymore!
