LED Bulbs for Clock & Voltmeter

As Pat has described in his review these LED replacements illuminate the clock and tach nicely. I would say twice as bright as the incandescent bulbs they replaced. And as Pat also pointed out they are extremely difficult to install with very little but the LED chip itself the most convenient point to push into the brass receptacle. Difficult but doable.

These LED replacements are indeed much brighter than the original incandescent bulbs and hopefully will last much longer. However since there is no glass bulb to grasp, it was somewhat difficult to install them. There is only the unprotected LED chip itself available for the "push & twist" action required install them. Fortunately the LED chip's electrical connections were not damaged during the process.

These bulbs are an exact fit on my 89 R 100 GS and much brighter and much lower power consumption than the OEM bulbs. The light emitted by these LED’s are a “white” light vs the more “yellow” originals. Fit and finish are very good. No negatives to report.
