Joost VariLoad Adjustable Relay
The scenario is known: You have the nice new LED indicators built into your bike and since then the flashing speed is not correct anymore, or the ECU makes error messages, because the flasher relay or the ECU doesn't work with the lower power of the new indicators or thinks that your indicator is broken. Now you could order and pay for different Load Equalizers on the aftermarket and test and solder your bike until you find the right value... This is our new digital adjustable Load equalizer with 50 adjustable power values. The Vari Load adjusts the appropriate resistor itself.
The Vari Load also has an automatic mode and can determine the required load for conventional flasher relays itself. To do this, clamp the blue cable to ground before switching on the ignition. After you have switched on the ignition and activated the indicators, the Vari Load measures the flashing frequency and slowly increases its load. As soon as a flashing frequency of 90 flashes / minute is reached, the Vari Load stops its measurement and saves the load value permanently. Now you can remove the blue cable from ground and the stored value remains in the device.. The Vari Load is by the way also a cool tool for the workshop and belongs in every tool box. You can easily adjust the required load for the flasher relay via the device and then replace it against the required resistance value from the table on page 2 of the installation instructions.
