A replacement instrument housing has not been available from BMW for many years. This had become a real issue for those seeking a perfect restoration but thankfully we now have these top quality reproductions from Siebenrock!
These are perfect quality reproduction parts, true to the original in every detail and manufactured using modern techniques and materials. Although the housing remained the same throughout the years, the indicator light configurations changed and all three versions are available:

I am very happy someone is making these again. My old unit had become damaged from years of changing bulbs and speedometer repairs. From BMW this is an NLA part. Fit and finish is much like the original BMW part The only complaint I have is the clear plastic over the tachometer and speedometer is much easier to scratch than the original BMW housing glass. I had my original housing on my R80RT for 32 years and 167000 miles with no scratches. After I installed the Wunderlich America housing, I wiped rain water off the clear plastic with my gloved finger. This scratched the clear plastic instantly. Mind you I have done the same thing many times over the 32 years of riding the bike with no scratches. So, caution must be used when wiping water off of the clear plastic.
