Drive Shaft Bolt

BMW recommends that you replace these bolts whenever the driveshaft is removed or disconnected. We suggest using thread locking fluid when installing. We have seen what happens when these bolts get loose and it's no fun.

Twelve pointed serrated bolt, cardan flange, for models R45 - R65; R80 - R100MYS. These short bolts fit 1981-1995 Airheads; do not use washers. Some people like to use the short bolts on pre-1981 models also (without washers).
