Clutch Cable High Bars 5 Speed

The replacement cable I ordered for my R60/6 with high bars fits like the original.

Arrived nicely coiled and not kinked. Complete cable with the bellows. The bellows are available, but good luck getting a new one on without tearing it. This is worth it. Even in the coiled packaging, it moves as smooth as a baby's butt on greased glass.

This cable replaced the original clutch cable on a 1974 R60/6 which was showing a sharp kink after it was removed while doing cylinder work on the right side. The new cable was lubricated with a Teflon grease normally used for bicycle cables. I sprayed enough lubricant in such that it ran out the other end. I also purchased the adjusting collar and the grommet and installed them as a complete new set. I had to make an adjustment at the clutch end to get it to fit. Once adjusted, it worked fine and have put many miles on it. The clutch operates just fine now and I am glad I caught it before the old one broke. As a side note, I ditched the original BMW handle-bars years ago and used one from a Yamaha RD-350 on my R60/6. The extra inch in cable length fit well. I recommend this cable.
