Are you converting from a 6V to 12V system for your pre-69 BMW?

This battery case is a hollow box that on the outside replicates the exact dimensions and appearance of an original equipment battery for pre-69 BMW batteries. It arrives empty and you simply put a modern battery inside of it, Run the cables out through the holes in the lid, and without anyone knowing the difference the battery on your vintage bike still looks OEM. Today's batteries, though far superior to the versions that came on the bikes, don't look at all like the ones that were original equipment in the 1950s and 60s. Most owners of vintage BMW Motorcycles want their bikes to look as original as possible and a wrong-looking battery really stands out on an otherwise accurate restoration.

This is an excellent battery case to store a small 12V battery (William suggests the BP3-12 or BP1.2-12 as suitable options). While some upgraded 12V systems (like our VAPE line of products) do not require a battery, we suggest that you continue to have one installed for safety measures. You may find yourself in a situation where you need running lights or headlights to keep you safe, and a small 12V battery will do the trick.
